Noise dosimetry measures the amount of noise workers are exposed to over their work day. Knowing how much noise workers are exposed to is essential to protect their hearing. To do that well a dosimeter must provide comprehensive information under varying conditions, in multiple locations and wearers. Sound energy is commonly expressed in decibels (dB) measuring sound level pressures over a period of time and averaging them is called a dosimetry test or determining an LEQ (time weighted average). If you want to know the noise levels employees are subjected to, you need to take dosimetry measurements. From the results you can determine which dB Blocker best suits your workers.
Custom Protect Ear Inc. tests noise level exposures with the Quest technologies NoisePro, providing a fully documented report of all dosimetry testing.
To sign up for a noise level exposure test, submit a Dosimetry Test Request form (80K pdf). |
