Allows the wearer to hear incoming audio in both ears. It has a 3.5mm stereo jack with separate right and left channels suitable for use with radios equipped with stereo and some monaural jacks. As well, the headset can be used with digital music players (iPod compatible). Uses Convertible-Y Vented filtered earpieces. DualCom can be worn under helmets of all types or simply as an audio headset.

The Shoulder microphones connect to a 2-Way radio and allow the user to hear incoming audio from a speaker in the unit. As well, they have a “key” on the side of the unit which allows the speaker to be switched to a microphone and the radio switched to speaking for outgoing messages. Most Shoulder Microphones also have a female jack in them in either 2.5mm, 3.5mm or both. If a speaker Receiver
Button is plugged into either of these jacks the incoming audio is transferred from the speaker in the microphone to the externally plugged in speaker in Receiver Button. Every radio has a unique connection to a compatible Shoulder microphone. For this reason the make and model of the radio is necessary in order for ProtectEar USA to provide the correct microphone. Connections to both the Convertible and Communicate Ear are made either directly to the radio (via a long cord) or through Shoulder Microphones.

Features

The Shoulder Microphone has a jack that allows incoming audio to be transmitted to a speaker button on a Communicate Ear dB Blocker™ or through our UltraLite to a Convertible dB Blocker™ or Filtered Covert earpiece. This Microphone has a pigtail specific to each radio. Radio make and model are necessary in order to supply the correct microphone.

When used with the particular radio it is designed for, this kit has be tested to be safe to use in hazardous areas that may contain combustible fuel in the atmosphere (gasses, vapors or combustible dust). This device is incapable of releasing sufficient electrical or thermal energy to ignite the fuel and cause fire or explosion. The kit contains a Receiver Button, Cord with a 2.5mm R/A plug, a Sound Tube and a connector for a Communicate Ear™ earpiece. Must be used with an I/S Shoulder Speaker Microphone.

The Palm Microphone has a jack that allows incoming audio to be transmitted to either a speaker button on a Communicate Ear™ or through our Ultralite to either a Filtered Covert or Convertible-Y Vented earpiece.

For 2-way radio communication in high noise environments. It has a 19dB noise-canceling Boom Microphone that decreases background noise to clarify outgoing communication in noise. When used with “Y” Vented Convertible dB Blockers™, incoming communication is clear and distinguishable. This headset reduces mistakes in communication and the need to repeat messages, which means no time is lost retransmitting, and workplace stress is reduced. Comes with an in-line Push To Talk (PTT) switch or can be ordered for a remote PTT switch for almost hands free operation.

The X-Treme Headset uses the Convertible-Y Vented earpieces to connect the headset to the ear.

The dB Com™ Communicate Ear™ allows in-ear radio reception as well as exceptional hearing protection. It also allows in-ear radio reception as well as exceptional hearing protection. It is custom fit to the individual wearer for maximum comfort using Skinsoft™ medical silicone. It is suited to anywhere two-way radio communication is used, and as it is dual vented, Communicate Ear will enhance interpersonal communication in noise as well..

Used to connect between the Receiver Button and the output jack on the Shoulder Speaker Microphone or directly to the 2-way radio. These cables exclusive to dB Com™, are Kevlar lined for exceptional tear strength, and Hytrel coated for abrasion resistance to keep them flexible down to -20C (-4F). This cable can be short (15″ relaxed or 30-32″ stretched) for Shoulder Mounted Microphone connections, or long (19″ relaxed or 50-50″ stretched) for connecting directly to a radio output jack. They are available with either 2.5mm or 3.5mm R/A or 3.5mm threaded jacks (for Motorola radios).

The dB Com Covert Earpiece is a patented filtered communication earpiece that secures a 2-way radio speaker in your ear. The wearer can hear the radio and what is going on around them. The Filtered Covert earpiece has a proprietary volume-limiting filter to prevent noise overexposure and eventual hearing loss. Its clear color makes the Filtered Covert earpiece barely noticeable and its construction makes it virtually indestructible.
